What is the PE and Sport Premium?
The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding provided by the government to improve the quality and breadth of Physical Education (PE), physical activity and school sport.
This funding is used to:

Our Vision for PE and Sport
At St Michael's we believe that high-quality PE and sport play a vital role in pupils’ physical, social and emotional development. Our aim is to ensure that all pupils, regardless of ability, background or need, have access to engaging, inclusive and challenging physical activity.
We use the Sports Premium funding strategically to ensure:

Swimming

All pupils in Years 4 and 5 receive swimming lessons

Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
