Science

Our vision for our science curriculum at St Michael’s School is based upon consistency and ambition. It is linked to our school vision by ensuring that the children have the opportunity to explore and imbed key scientific concepts and how these relate to their place in the wider world. We would like our pupils to be passionate about science and to keep studying science beyond school.

Science at St Michael’s School involves practical lessons with child-led exploration at their core and make use of learning outdoors. We aim to inspire our children and nurture their curiosity to encourage them to ask questions and develop the skills they need to answer those questions. Our pupils will learn about diverse and inspiring scientists as well careers that link to science. We will also make use of our links to science and technology agencies and organisations in Oxfordshire.
